Where to Use Raised Flooring?

raised_floor_system_panels Raised Flooring

Raised flooring is a unique solution, for commercial areas. It's made to add space between the ground level, and the actual floor. It's used in numerous buildings. From airports to office blocks, & hospitals to shopping centres, rasied floors are essential. They come with a number of benefits (and primarily for access). Plus they also help hide any undulations that might occur.

Service buildings also need raised flooring to gain access. This way technical teams can easily get to their respective areas to maintain, fix and manage things. These include telecom, data, electrical power, environmental control and air conditioning, as well as water and drainage, and security teams.

Other benefits to raised flooring:

- Easy and quick access to data cabling

- Cavity depth for HVAC system's quality air conditioning

- Saves hassle, time, and money

Types of raised flooring:

There are basically two categories of raising flooring;

- Lock down

Lock down or screws down floors, are exactly what they sound like. They’re screwed down and locked, so that lateral location is provided. These cannot take factory bonded finishes, but allow for a solid feel underfoot and easy access. However, not as quick as loose lay raised floors.

- Gravity held

Gravity held(\Loose lay) raised floorings stay in place, using gravity and their own weight. These are super quick to lay, and allow simple and easy access to the void.

Industries that use raised flooring: Retail facilities, modern offices that need a large amount of telecom and computing equipment, call centres, offices, data processing centres, distribution centres, educational facilities, in fact most places that need underfloor cabling and routing of ventilation when ceiling based voids cannot be used as effectively or smartly.

MBT offers all sorts of raised floors. We at MBT, also deal with more flooring solutions, and also with armstrong, bioclad, forbo, gerflor, polyflor, responsive, carpet land and other brands.
